One more time a hectic Hackathon weekend is behind us and after the impressions subsided it is time for a recap of the whole experience.

20 young IT lovers rushed to Evona`s door on Friday evening with different motives. Some of them were in the hunt for the main prize, some wanted to catch an opportunity for the internship and meet new people or try out new technologies, while others just seized the moment to test their boundaries, challenge themselves, and have some fun.

The first night was sleepless since the most persistent candidates stayed till the early morning trying to answer the challenge set by the mentors the night before. The challenge was to come up with the optimal solution for ranking the virtual players according to their achievements generated by the web simulator. Huh, sounds like a lot of work to be done in such a short span of time!

With the proper support of mentors, plenty of teamwork, and focus, our contestants created a range of great ideas. Contestants had to display various skills such as project management, coding, and making their software functional and user-friendly.

All the effort of this three-day-long sprint came to light on Sunday afternoon when Git Rebase, Dev Elite, Alt F4, and Ekipa 4 weighed their strengths in the final presentation. All of them showed some admirable skills but the winner could be only one – and it was the Alt F4 team! Yay for them!

Besides, we have encountered a few amazing individuals, and the two of them were offered an internship.

The competitors got to know Evona and our team from a unique perspective and took away very good impressions. Here is feedback from a contestant:
